stickers and labels – what are they?
A sticker (also popularly known as a “sticker” and “label”) is a paper or film product with an adhesive layer on one side and a design on the other. The use of stickers is very wide, starting with simple stickers on products and ending with covering cars and shop windows. There are no longer any restrictions on sticker sizes and shapes.
Labels make any product more sophisticated and stand out among others. The label can be elegant and understated, or bright and energetic. Often it is the labels that will be decisive in the customer’s choice in favor of one or another product. Did you know that until 1850, labels were painted by hand, so colored labels were made only for exclusive production?
It has happened in everyone’s life when it is not possible to easily tear off the sticker with the price or description from the purchased gift. Or the other way around – the stickers peel off on their own from individual surfaces and under different conditions! How not to get lost and avoid such situations? How can sticker production (technology and materials) affect the result? The safest way to avoid redoing and paying twice is to turn to enivo. types of stickers
- plastic stickers – are made of special plastic (film) and their main advantage is moisture resistance. The plastic material is initially in a wide roll, so stickers can be made in a large size. Stickers are usually made of white or transparent, glossy or matte plastic, but more exclusive materials with reflective effects are also available. Car stickers are made from a special adhesive film that is very flexible and durable.
- stickers in rolls – can be both paper and film. The main advantage of these stickers is the very low price per unit and easy gluing on products. This type of sticker is easy to personalize or number, giving each sticker a unique identifier
- paper stickers and labels – the most common type of stickers used for marking various goods and which can be made in individual form. They are made from glossy, matte or uncoated adhesive paper, usually with a notched back for easy removal. For additional protection, they can be laminated
- polymer stickers – also called 3D stickers, give a three-dimensional effect because they are covered with a thick, transparent polymer layer. These stickers are made of film and a thick layer of polymer poured on top gives them additional technical protection against both UV rays and mechanical effects

- different types of glue are available for stickers removable, permanent, freezer, etc.
- for transparent stickers, if they are glued on a light or transparent surface, an additional print of white color must be provided under the design
- UV printing on film labels is the most durable, but it is more matte than printing on glossy film
- according to the law, shop window stickers may only cover 25% of the glass pane (except for situations where repair work is in progress)
